Q: Do I need to be a member to have my wedding at Penn Hills?

A: No you do not; our facility is open to the public.

Q: How many people can the facility accommodate?

A: Our facility can accommodate up to 200 people.

Q: Am I able to bring my own food/use an outside caterer?

A: No, all food and catering must be provided by Penn Hills. With an exception however for: wedding cakes, cupcakes, and confection tables (candy bar etc.)

Q: Can I bring/supply my own alcohol?

A: No, we are a fully licensed facility and all alcoholic products must be supplied by Penn Hills. However if there is something specific you are looking for, we can make arrangements to bring that in for your special day.

Q: Can we have the ceremony at Penn Hills?

A: Yes, we can fully accommodate your ceremony on site. You must, however, also have your reception at Penn Hills.

Q: What kind of tables do you have? Do you supply any sort d├ęcor for them?

A: Our tables are rectangular, 6ft by 2.5ft, they can be put together to seat 12, or separately they seat 6. We have ivory polyester table cloths with matching chair covers.

Q: Are we allowed to use the golf course for photos? Can we take carts for photos?

A: Yes you can use the course for photos, however there are some guidelines, and there will still be golfers on the course that day. Yes, for a fee, you can also rent carts for photos; we will have a guide escort you to where you can go on the course with them. Please contact us for more information about fees and rental rates.

Q: When can we decorate for our wedding?

A: We can only guarantee access to the facility 24 hours prior to the Wedding. However we will be closely in touch in the weeks leading up if that time frame can be earlier.

Q: Can you accommodate different dietary restrictions?

A: We can absolutely accommodate any dietary restriction, contact us for more details.

Q: Do Are there taxi services in the area?

A: No you do notThere are three taxi services in the area that staff will be happy to provide numbers for.

Q: When is last call?

A: Our liquor license requires us to stop serving at 1am.

For our less formal meals we can do buffet style for the following:

BBQ Ribs and ¼ chicken dinner complete with baked potato, pasta salad, coleslaw and dinner roll.

Our Pavilion Barn is 3000 square feet perfect for a wedding reception.

PAVILION RENTAL

  • Our pavilion barn is where all wedding receptions take place
  • $1000 rental (no HST on rental cost)
  • No extra charge for outdoor ceremony (ceremony can occur indoors but is not recommended)
  • Rental includes: tables ( rectangular 6ft X 2.5ft), chairs, ivory table cloths, ivory table covers, all dishes and cutlery
  • Maximum capacity is 200 guests

  • We are a fully licensed establishment; therefore Penn Hills does not permit any outside alcoholic beverages to be brought into the venue. This includes any donations or gifts. We would be more than happy to discuss anything specific you may require for the day.
  • Any outside alcohol will be confiscated, and any persons may be asked to leave.
  • Two bartenders will be provided for the function, with a minimum bar spend of $1000 (this includes any wine previously ordered for the event). If minimu spend is not reached, an additional fee of $100 per bartender will be applied.
  • Liquor license allows the bar to be open until 1am, last call will be at 12:45am.
  • Please keep reading for meal options; buffet, served, etc. All meal prices are subject to 15% tax and 15% gratuity. Prices are subject to change.
  • Outside catering is not permitted for the event witht eh exception of wedding cakes and favours.
  • We would be happy to accommodate any special dietary needs you may have.
  • Any and all decorating is to be completed on the day of the wedding or function unless otherwise arranged with Penn Hills. Dependent on the club's schedule decorating may be completed one day prior to the wedding or function
  • DJ's may come to the pavillion prior to the event to plan their set up. They can set up their equipment the day of the event. Equipment must be removed after the function, in a timely manner.
  • All decorations must be taken down the next day, unless otherwse arranged with Penn Hills.
  • A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required at the time of booking, to hold the date of the venue
  • Final guest numbers must be confirmed two weeks prior to the event
  • Full invoice must be paid one week priot to event
  • Bar tab and open charges must be paid on the day of the event

The main course:

Sesame pork tenderloin with garlic mashed potatoes and candied carrots.

For desert:

You will be able to choose from the following:

  • Chocolate chip cheesecake
  • Sticky apple pudding
  • Carrot cake
  • Ginger bread cake

All are homemade by our amazing Penn Hills Staff.

Wedding Meal Two

  • Vegetable
  • Corn chowder

The main course:

Roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy mixed veggies (green beans, yellow beans and carrots).

For desert:

You will be able to choose from the following:

  • Chocolate chip cheesecake
  • Sticky apple pudding
  • Carrot cake
  • Ginger bread cake

All are homemade by our amazing Penn Hills Staff.
